Park Eun Bin Criticized For 'Castaway Diva' Performance

In 2022, Park Eun Bin created a massive craze worldwide through her mega hit drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."

Her portrayal of a lawyer with autism became a sensation, and was deeply loved by avid K-drama viewers around the world. It even earned her prestigious awards like the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards and more.

However, the actress is being criticized for the same reason this 2023 following her return as a frustrated singer in "Castaway Diva."

The viewers claim that the actress hasn't moved on from her Woo Young Woo role as her performance in her new series resembles the character's nuances, mannerisms and more.

While Park Eun Bin was initially lauded for taking on various acting projects, fans couldn't see her versatility as the new drama unfolds.

Many viewers speculate that it was a directorial influence so as to keep the momentum going. After receiving rave reviews, this is the first time that Park Eun Bin got criticized for her acting.

Meanwhile, some fans defended the actress' acting choice. Since her character has been stranded on an uninhabited island for 15 years, it's realistic that she has social anxiety as she re-enters society at 31 years old.
