Kim Nam Gil Still Endures Negative Impact After Car Accident
The actor made a special appearance in BTS member Suga's YouTube talk show "Suchwita," which released a sneak peek of "The Fiery Priest" star with the idol as they talked about having an unexpected experience.
There, the BTS rapper mentioned Kim Nam Gil's closeness with fellow member Jin and then showed a photo, which made the actor recall being in an open recruitment.
The award-winning star shared that he was in the 31st batch of MBC's open recruitment but got into a car accident after passing the open recruitment.
"I had a serious car accident and was hospitalized for about 6 months."
Surprising Suga, Kim Nam Gil opened up about the impact of it that he still endures today.
"So, since then, I have not been able to memorize my lines well."

Suga then shared his experience and opened up, saying that he also got into a car accident when he was young, causing him to have a hard time memorizing lyrics.
Unfortunately, other than the car accident, Kim Nam Gil also experienced minor injuries on the set of his dramas and movies, among them while filming the movie "The Pirates."
In a news report, the actor fell to the ground and got injured. Thankfully, he only suffered minor bruises.
Six years later, the award-winning star encountered an accident on the set of "The Feiry Preist."
According to the news, his agency, C-JeS Entertainment, revealed that the actor complained about his fractured rib and wrist after filming a group action scene.
As mentioned by the agency, this happened in a separate incident.
Kim Nam Gil on Experiencing Career Slump
Apart from the accidents, Kim Nam Gil confessed that he also experienced slumps in his career. He explained that he sees it as a test, which he admitted was challenging for him.
Meanwhile, Kim Nam Gil's guest appearance on "Suchwita" will be released at 10 p.m. on December 4.

Kim Nam Gil's Upcoming Projects
Following his back-to-back K-dramas in 2023, such as "Song of the Bandits" and "Island" Part 2, the actor is set to return to the small screen with an interesting character.
Kim Nam Gil stars in the upcoming Netflix drama "Trigger." Directed by Kwon Oh Seung of "Midnight," the top star is joined by Kim Young Kwang, and is set to premiere sometime in 2025.
