Seo In Guk Suffered Intense Panic Attack On ‘Death’s Game’ Filming Set — What Happened?
Following the premiere of "Death's Game," Seo In Guk, the lead star in the show, opened up about his challenges during filming.
Seo In Guk Shares Challenges During 'Death's Game' Shoot
On December 17, Seo In Guk made an appearance in idol-actor Rain's web show "Season B Season."
He was in attendance to introduce his comeback drama "Death's Game," which is one of the highly anticipated works of 2023.
In the show, Seo In Guk transforms into Choi Lee Jae, a jaded man who is subjected to 12 cycles of life and death after being punished by the God of Death, played by Park So Dam.
The series premiered on December 15, and instantly received rave reviews among the fans around the world. In his guesting in Rain's show, he took the opportunity to express his gratitude.
"Thank you to everyone who tuned in to "Death's Game" Part 1," Seo In Guk said. "I worked hard for the drama and it's an honor to return to the acting scene with such great production."
Because his character was subjected to immense punishment, Seo In Guk had a lot of scenes where he falls into an abyss. According to him, he had a rough time filming.
"I have an intense fear of heights," Seo In Guk revealed. "I found filming very difficult. I even had a panic attack."

The actor shared that he shot a lot of scenes where he was hanging mid-air, and had to stay in the same position for a moment. This led to a panic attack on the "Death's Game" filming set.
While the production wanted to tweak the script to help the actor, Seo In Guk dedicated to take on the challenge and face his fears despite the painful experience, earning him great self-respect.
With this, Seo In Guk asks the fans to tune in to the drama's upcoming Part 2, which will feature a bolder and much more intense narrative about his character's remaining lives.
'Death's Game' Tops Most Buzzworthy Dramas
With just four episodes, "Death's Game" successfully entered the list of the most buzzworthy works in the second week of December.
FlixPatrol announced that the series took the top spot among other dramas in more than 20 countries including Taiwan, Singapore and the Philippines.
The show delivered the poignant story of a jaded man who is punished by death, as well as its flawless casting from Seo In Guk to Park So Dam, Go Yoon Jung, Choi Siwon and more.
Viewers also lauded the showrunners for the drama's jam-packed elements including comedy, thriller and suspense, which kick-started its blockbuster hit.
