Choi Lee Jae Fails To Live

"Death's Game" begins with Choi Lee Jae (Seo In Guk) experiencing a nightmare where a woman shoots him, making him fall off a plane.

Thankfully, he wakes up in no time. He used to be full of life but when he witnesses a hit-and-run incident, his life changes forever.

Because of this, he gets shaken during an interview, eventually losing his chance to land a job. Despite his hard work, he still struggles to make ends meet.

In addition, his loans pile up and falls victim to fraud. Choi Lee Jae feels helpless, not wanting to continue living.

Choi Lee Jae Faces Death

He stands on top of a building and decides to end his life. However, he suddenly wakes up in a plane and finally meets Death (Park So Dam).

Death learns that Choi Lee Jae thinks death is a means to end his pain. Taking offense, she subjects him to a harrowing punishment.

Choi Lee Jae will enter 12 bodies of people who are set to face Death. He's punished to experience death a dozen times as his punishment. If he manages to evade their deaths, he can carry on living in his current body.

Choi Lee Jae's First Life

Choi Lee Jae enters Park Jin Tae's (Choi Siwon) body, Taekang's heir. It's the company he wanted to work for before.

Elated to be a conglomerate heir, Death refuses to give him the satisfaction and tries to rev the plane's engine up. Sadly, Park Jin Tae faces a painful death when fire spreads in the plane.

He meets Death again. He's subjected to another and he also gets to keep his memories. He plans to survive as he wakes up as Song Jae Seob (Sung Hoon), an extreme sports enthusiast.

Song Jae Seob is challenged to dive with a parachute from 8000 meters with 300 billion KRW cash prize. He attempts to take on the challenge but fails terribly, sending him to his death.

What Is His Sin?

Before he enters his third body, Death tells him to figure out his sin in order to survive hell, which awaits him if he fails to live in one of the bodies.

Choi Lee Jae wakes up as Kwon Hyuk Soo (Kim Kang Hoon), a young high school student who wants to take his own life after being bullied by his peers for years.

He plans to survive and not repeat the same mistake of taking his own life. With this, Kwon Hyuk Soo fights his perpetrators with a satisfaction to avenge himself.

As he walks home, he narrowly misses Death by getting run over by a truck. Unfortunately, his perpetrator surges from behind, knocking him out in the head with a rock.

Will Choi Lee Jae Survive?

Choi Lee Jae meets Death again, accusing her of "rigging" the game every time he's about to succeed, which angers the latter.

Death tells him that the upcoming deaths will be more painful and extremely hard to survive. The next body is owned by Lee Ju Hoon (Jang Seung Jo), a fixer of an organization.

His job is to fix his client's problems even if it means murder. Lee Ju Hoon lives a dangerous life but Choi Lee Jae decides to take a risk especially now that he has the body owner's abilities.

Lee Ju Hoon even has great motorcycle riding skills, escaping a team of professional trackers that hunt him down with a 2 billion KRW reward.
