'No Spark'? Park Seo Joon & Han So Hee's Couple Photos Receive Mixed Reactions
On December 21, online streaming giant Netflix gifted fans with Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee's couple shots in relation to their forthcoming thriller series "Gyeongseong Creature."
However, upon release, mixed reactions from K-Netz and international fans poured in, with some saying they were disappointed with the duo's lack of chemistry.
Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon are about to grace the small screen with their fantasy-historical series "Gyeongseong Creature." Set in the backdrop of Spring 1945, it features the story of two people whose goals are focused on their own survival after they encounter a monster wrapped in human form.
Park Seo Joon is Jang Tae Sang, the richest man in Gyeongseong and the owner of Golden Jade House, who is intelligent and knows how to get by in the world.
Han So Hee, on the other hand, takes the role of Yoon Chae Ok, a gunslinger who searches for missing people, and also has knowledge and is skilled in knives and other machinery.
Amid their drama promotions, Netflix dropped snaps of the two lead stars.
Han So Hee and Park Seo Joon showcased their closeness and the chemistry that fans have been waiting to see and expecting from the show. The two also have playful shots that exhibit their bond.
When the pictorial snippets were uploaded, fans couldn't hide their different reactions to the couple's visual chemistry.
K-Netz Disappointed With Park Seo Joon & Han So Hee's 'Lack of Chemistry'
While global fans loved the synergy of Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, K-Netz were unsatisfied.
Some said that they looked like strangers, while some remarked one of their shots the "worst couple photo."
- "Is it a romance drama? Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee don't seem like a couple."
- "Why does it seem like two strangers taking pictures together?"
- "They are pretty and handsome, but they don't match together."
- "I guess it is possible for them not to have any chemistry."
- "Looks like everyone is thinking the same. I was wondering why they didn't match at all."
- "This is probably the worst couple photo I've seen in years. They look good in their individual photos."

It's not yet known if the "Gyeongseong Creature" will have romance, but with its potentiality, it wasn't surprising that people have mixed reactions to the couple photoshoot. They believe it would set the tone of what to expect in their tandem.
"Gyeongseong Creature" Part 1 will hit the small screen on December 22, while Part 2 is scheduled to premiere on January 5, 2024, on Netflix.
