Lee Do Hyun Expresses Disappointment for Upcoming Movie With Kim Go Eun in ‘Exhuma’

Lee Do Hyun shared his honest thoughts about the recent event for his new movie "Exhuma" with Kim Go Eun.

Lee Do Hyun Makes Surprise Appearance at 'Exhuma's' Press Conference

On January 17, the cast of the forthcoming thriller movie "Exhuma" attended a press conference to further discuss the film. The event was held at The Plaza Hotel in Seoul. Present at the gathering are lead stars Choi Min Sik, Kim Go Eun, and Yoo Hae Jin. The creative mind behind the work, Director Jang Jae Hyun also made his appearance. 

"Exhuma" is a horror-thriller movie that features the story that occurs to a feng shui, a funeral director, and a shaman who are paid a large amount of money to relocate a tomb. 

During the event, actress Kim Go Eun was shocked to see Lee Do Hyun in a special video appearance, introducing his character, Bong Gil, a shaman in the movie. It is known that the actor is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service. 

Lee Do Hyun Disappointed for His Absence at the Movie Press Conference

In his video greeting, Lee Do Hyun expressed his disappointment for the reason that he couldn't be physically present at the movie's press conference. He eagerly wanted to join his co-stars that day but he had another responsibility to do in the army that's why he failed to attend the gathering. 

However, despite his absence, Lee Do Hyun still made a thoughtful move to record himself and greet the viewers through video. 

Lee Do Hyun said, "I'm disappointed that I couldn't be there with you today, but I wanted to greet you through a video to introduce my character, Bong Gil. He is a shaman who moves a mysterious tomb along with Hwarim."

Kim Go Eun takes the role of Hwarim, who is also a shaman. 

Apart from his surprise video message, Lee Do Hyun gained attention with his unexpected question for his co-star Kim Go Eun.

He explained, "Bong Gil is a young man who has skills and looks. He belongs to the MZ generation. My special role was to protect Hwarim like a bodyguard." The actor then asked, "Hwarim, am I reliable?"

Kim Go Eun Acknowledges Her Great Chemistry With Lee Do Hyun in 'Exhuma'

The actress was surprised yet enthusiastic about Lee Do Hyun's spontaneous message. 

As the video continued, the "The Glory" actor expressed his confidence in the soon-to-release movie.

"I hope you look forward to the chemistry between Hwarim and Bong Gil. You will also see a new side of me that you haven't seen in my past works."

Following his video message, Kim Go Eun acknowledged her perfect chemistry with Lee Do Hyun, "We had great chemistry. Since we are almost the same age, we got along pretty well."

Furthermore, "Exhuma" will hit the cinemas beginning this February.
