'Doctor Slump' Stars Park Hyung Sik, Park Shin Hye, More Present at the Media Conference

On January 25, Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye faced the public for the media conference of their forthcoming series "Doctor Slump." Yoon Park, Kong Sung Ha, and producer Oh Hyun Jong were also present at the event.

"Doctor Slump" is JTBC's upcoming rom-com drama that foretells the story of Yeo Jung Woo and Nam Ha Neul, former university rivals who reunite after 14 years as they try to start over again with their lives after they fall into a slump in their careers.

The chemistry between Park Hyung Sik and Park Shin Hye who work together for the first time in 11 years since "The Heirs," is expected to bring excitement to the audience.

Park Hyung Sik takes the role of Yeo Jung Woo, a famous plastic surgeon who falls into a slump after a mysterious medical accident. The actor is returning to the romantic-comedy genre 7 years after "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon." 

How Park Hyung Sik Maintains His Title as 'Rom-Com Master'

Even though a long time has passed, it is said that the male star still holds the title of one of the 'Rom-Com Masters.'

Since it was mentioned during the interview, the event's host Park Kyung Rim asked the idol-actor what is his secret to being a romantic-comedy master.

In response to this, Park Hyung Sik shyly smiled and said, "Actually, I don't know if there is such a thing as a secret."

He then elaborated, "I think it's because I enjoy collaborating with the other person. Even while working together on set, I sometimes think of fun lines to add in order to make it more interesting. If my co-star receives it well, the scene becomes more alive." 

Park Hyung Sik revealed that as a result of good synergy with his co-star, he gained confidence.

His co-star Park Shin Hye supported him by confessing that Park Hyung Sik is really good and there are a lot of times when the director does not give a cut and the camera just continues rolling because it was a good scene.

Meanwhile, "Doctor Slump" is expected to premiere this January 27 on JTBC at 10:30 p.m. (KST).
