Go Yoon Jung, Kang Yoo Seok, More Face Challenges as Rookie Doctors in ‘Resident Playbook’

As broadcast networks and streaming platforms teased viewers with their lineup of highly anticipated K-dramas and movies, tvN unveiled the first look of "Resident Playbook."

One of the much-awaited series of 2024, the forthcoming K-drama is a spin-off of the beloved medical series "Hospital Playlist." However, the new series depicts new stories with an exciting cast.

First Look at 'Resident Playbook'

tvN never fails to excite viewers with a sneak peek at what to expect in their upcoming shows.

As for "Resident Playbook," the network teased fans with the new faces of rookie doctors working at Yulje Medical Center's Jongno Branch.

Based on the teaser video released by tvN, it featured a glimpse of the lives of obstetrics and gynecology residents who dream of becoming doctors.

  "Resident Playbook" introduces five rookie doctors who are set to entertain viewers with their heartwarming stories and challenges as they enter Jongno Yulje Medical Center. In the drama, Go Yoon Jung plays a first-year obstetrics and gynecology resident who will be working at Yulje's Jongno branch. 'Resident Playbook' Release Date

viewers wish to see 99ers again for the third season if "Hospital Playlist" drama officials are tight-lipped about the possibility of the medical drama returning for another installment.

However, director Shin Won Ho revealed that tvN will release a spin-off showcasing new faces.

Months before 2023 ends, tvN announces the release of "Resident Playbook."

In addition, the broadcast network also dropped a teaser featuring Go Yoon Jung as she transformed into one of Yulje's doctors.

This raised anticipation and excitement for the upcoming K-drama.

Interestingly, the update revealed that the "Resident Playbook" release date is set for the first half of this year.

Interestingly, joining Go Yoon Jung in the upcoming spin-off are Shin Shi Ah, Kang Yoo Seok, Jung Joon Won, and Han YeJi, who will play the lead stars.

Furthermore, "Resident Playlist" is produced by director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung, who also created hit K-dramas such as "Reply" and "Hospital Playlist.".

Adding to the list of individuals working behind the camera is director Lee Min Soo of the 2023 K-drama "Heartbeat."
