After a week of hiatus due to Lunar New Year celebrations, the new episode delivered mind-boggling scenes, with the Violent Crime Investigation Team 1 solving a tricky case. It involved the death of a renowed painter.
Meanwhile, following the postponement, "Flex X Cop" showed a slight decrease in rating.
In a report, Nielsen Korea garnered an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent. This is a minimal drop from the previous episode's 6.3 percent.
Despite the show's decline in rating, viewers are still hooked on every episode, especially the character growth of Jin Yin Soo.
'Flex X Cop' Episode 5: Jin Yi Soo, Lee Gang Hyun Stumble Upon A Serial Murder Case
The story continued with the scene where Jin Yi Soo figured out the secret of Kwon Do Jun, who stabbed Mr. Noh Young Jae.
However, he wanted to escape by hitting Yi Soo's head but failed after he woke up and confronted him more about the case.

Since he knew that he couldn't escape this time, he stabbed himself.
Jin Yi Soo's initial reaction was to help him. However, Lee Gang Hyun came in and thought that Yi Soo did this to Kwon.
At the hospital, it was found out that Kwon did it to himself and was questioned about stabbing Mr. Noh. This was where he revealed that the renowned artist was stealing his artwork, which even prevented him from having his scholarship abroad.
Unfortunately for Lee Gang Hyun, the incident caused her trouble with the higher-ups and brought out the topic of her father.
With Jin Yi Soo digging around the case, he and Lee Gang Hyun discovered that it wasn't Kwon who killed Mr. Noh. It was his wife, Joo Hwa Young.
She wanted Kwon to take the blame, so she asked him to run the errands that could lead the police to it.
Interestingly, Yi Soo used his connection and caught Hwa Young in the act after they got her finger prints.
As episode 5 ended, Jin Yi Soo and Lee Gang Hyun are on another case. What they thought was a simple accident led them to discover that it was a serial murder case.
The duo noticed that valuables like cash, gold, and the seal were missing from the victims' houses and thought that the killer had a pattern.
It prompted them to investigate the Yeongseong Family Church.
In addition, they also discovered CCTV footage with Park Jae Geun and Go Young Bum posing as funeral photographers.
