Ahn Bo Hyun Reflects on Long-Running Career At 35

On January 16, Hallyu superstar Ahn Bo Hyun made a special appearance on SBS TV's variety show "Strong Heart VS" to promote his upcoming K-drama "Flex X Cop."

The actor is making his comeback this January as a conglomerate heir who winds up in the police station as a high-tension detective that lives off principles and his own beliefs.

Ahn Bo Hyun has curated a flawless filmography over the years, raising excitement for his brand new acting role. According to the actor, he prepared well for his new character.

His military completion also helped in perfecting his portrayal of being a public servant. To recall, the actor served as an honor guard during his fulfillment of his military service.

However, this came easy for the actor as he has a background in boxing, which makes him more sufficient and enduring when it comes to physical pain and labor.

"I used to box for more than 10 hours every day," Ahn Bo Hyun said. "I sweated enough that I had to wash up every three hours."

Ahn Bo Hyun took care of his weight and body as a boxer living a tough life. With this, he even claimed that his military service was easier and more comfortable.

When asked whether he regrets leaving his boxing career, Ahn Bo Hyun said that the "boxing life" wasn't for him. He said, "It was so tough. I didn't want to do it for the rest of my life."

Ahn Bo Hyun Shares Affection For Brand New Role

This month, Ahn Bo Hyun will live as Jin Yi Soo on the prime time work "Flex X Cop" opposite Park Ji Hyun.

Through the work, he will unleash his refreshing side and his top-notch action skills. He described his character as a "cheeky person with delightful charms."

According to him, he was involved in curating his character's wardrobe and hairstyles, showcasing his efforts in synchronizing with his new acting role.

"Jin Yi Soo's flexing and wild goose chase with criminals are the highlights in the series that no one should miss," Ahn Bo Hyun said, raising tension for the series.

Catch the premiere of "Flex X Cop" this January 26 at 10:00 p.m. KST on SBS TV. It will also air with English subtitles on Disney+ so don't miss it.
