On February 27, Disney+'s forthcoming comedy series "Unmasked" confirmed its cast by sharing the first-ever still photos of Kim Hye Soo, Jung Sung Il and Joo Jong Hyuk.

"Unmasked" (originally entitled "Trigger") is an office comedy drama that depicts the first Investigative Journalism Bureau of a broadcasting company in Seoul, South Korea.

The show was one of the most anticipated works of the year, receiving high tension from fans after announcing the casting of seasoned actors Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il.

In the series, the two work together for the very first time. Both stars dominated the Hallyu scene after their performances in Netflix's "Juvenile Justice" and "The Glory," respectively.

Kim Hye Soo transforms into Oh So Ryong, a passionate journalist who leads the investigative reporting program. She pursues the truth to achieve justice.

She takes on any cases that even the prosecution and the police can't solve. Meanwhile, Jung Sung Il portrays Han Do, a dedicated producing director who lacks social skills.

The duo is joined by Joo Jong Hyuk as Kang Ki Ho, the youngest producing director in the team. He showed off his top-notch skills as a villain in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" in 2022.

Through the photos released by the broadcasting company, viewers are able to see the psyche and personality of the characters as they work under pressure in South Korea's first-ever Investigative Journalism Bureau.

Attention is given to the trio as to how they perform their roles well without clashing against one another, and how they will work together to pursue justice without prejudice.

The upcoming series "Unmasked" will be available for streaming through the streaming platform Disney+, one of the top-selling platforms around the globe.

"Unmasked" is currently underway, and has been in the works since early 2023. It's helmed by "The Uncanny Counter" producing director Yoo Seon Dong.
