Lee Je Hoon Fanboy Mode on During RIIZE's Performance
In a video uploaded by the actor's agency, COMPANY ON, they featured his behind-the-scenes moments during the 2023 MAMA Awards.
Held on November 28 and 29 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, Lee Je Hoon showed his amazing hosting skills as he joined a few stars who appeared on stage as presenters at the 2023 MAMA Awards.
In the YouTube video, titled "Vlog in Tokyo," the actor shared his whole journey from Korea to Japan's capital. As he landed at the airport, Lee Je Hoon went straight to Tokyo Dome's concert hall to meet the staff.
In the next clip, the actor was all glammed up and about to hit the red carpet. He also told the vlog that he would have a quick interview with the media.
Interestingly, one of the highlights of the YouTube video was Lee Je Hoon fanboying over the SM Entertainment rookie, RIIZE.
While waiting for his turn to hit the stage to present the award for Best Male Group, he couldn't help but admire the K-pop group performing on stage.
After presenting the award, the actor mentioned how amazing it was to see all the K-pop groups and artists in one location.
At one point, he also excitedly told the vlog how amazed he felt to see RIIZE perform. Even at the elevator while he was on his way to his hotel room, he giddily recalled meeting a particular member.
"I just saw Wonbin up close. It was amazing. He's so handsome."
In the comments section, RIIZE's fans also thanked Lee Je Hoon for appreciating the group.
The 2023 MAMA Awards are among his first few activities after undergoing emergency surgery. The "Taxi Driver" star had to cancel his duties for the Busan International Film Festival due to health issues.
In October 2023, Lee Je Hoon was brought to the hospital due to severe abdominal pain.
The news was confirmed by his agency, saying that the actor was diagnosed with ischemic colitis, which occurs when blood flow to part of the large intestine is temporarily reduced. Due to this, he was advised to immediately undergo emergency surgery.
After two weeks, COMPANY ON shared the actor's recovery and returned to filming his upcoming K-drama.
Lee Je Hoon Stars in 'Chief Detective 1958' Remake
After "Taxi Driver" season 2, Lee Je Hoon is back with a new challenging role as he stars in the remake of the iconic K-drama "Chief Detective 1958."
Based on the 1971 K-drama "Chief Inspector," the top star returns as the young Park Young Han before he became the chief inspector.
Helmed by Kim Sung Hoon of "Confidential Assignment 1" and "Rampant," the upcoming K-drama also features a slew of talented stars.
Joining Lee Je Hoon as lead stars are Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, Yoon Hyun Soo, and Seo Eun Soo.
