Along with a stunning cast lineup, MBC dropped a sneak peek at the upcoming action mystery series.

Gearing up for one of the network's much-awaited K-dramas, MBC unveiled a new poster featuring the lead stars joining Lee Je Hoon.

'Chief Detective 1958' Official Poster Revealed

Over the network's social media, "Chief Detective 1958" introduces four main characters who will take on the role of detectives.

Lee Je Hoon transforms into the iconic Park Young Han. The series will depict his journey as he becomes a fearless and powerful detective.

He then teams up with Kim Sang Soon, played by Lee Dong Hwi, along with Jo Kyung Hwan and Seo Ho Jung, portrayed by Choi Woo Sung and Yoon Hyun Soo.

In the latest update, the four detectives walk around the streets of Jongro in Seoul.

"In an era of barbarism, a humane investigation drama by real detectives," the text reads, hinting at their great teamwork.

Interestingly, this sparked excitement among fans.

In the comment section, fans expressed how they were thrilled to see Lee Je Hoon portray the role of detective.

Other than the viewers' expectations of the upcoming K-drama, netizens noticed something interesting about the "Chief Detective 1958" poster.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, users pointed out the similarity of the drama poster to the 2018 K-drama "Life on Mars."

Some say that the drama poster featuring four talented stars gives off the "Life of Mars" vibe.

The remake of the 2006 British TV series of the same name, "Life of Mars," stars Jung Kyung Ho, Park Sung Woong, Oh Dae Hwan, Noh Jong Hyun, and Go Ah Sung, whose mission is to investigate a serial murder case.

However, the crime investigation team's Han Tae Joo (Jung Kyung Ho) had an accident that changed his life.

'Chief Detective 1958' Release Date

Fighting against corruption and maintaining peace in society, Detective Park Young Han is the main character in "Chief Detective 1958."

Based on the 1971 series "Chief Inspector," the upcoming series is set in 1958, highlighting the journey of the fearless detective.

The "Chief Detective 1958" release date is scheduled for April 19, with a total of 10 episodes for the whole season.

Viewers get to see Lee Je Hoon and the rest of the cast of the K-drama, which will air every Friday and Saturday.

Other than Lee Je Hoon, Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, and Yoon Hyun Soo, "Chief Detective 1958" also features amazing cast members like Yoo Hae Jin, Seo Eun Soo, and more.

In addition, the upcoming K-drama will also showcase a special appearance by Choi Bool Am, who played the original Chief Inspector Park.
