‘Flex X Cop’ Episode 15: Ahn Bo Hyun Discovers the Real Cause of His Father’s Death
"Flex X Cop" Episode 15 delivered a surprising plot twist involving the death of Hansu chairman and its connection with the death of Jin Yi Soo's mother.
Based on the 2015 Russian series "Silver Spoon," the SBS weekend K-drama focuses on the third-generation chaebol, Jin Yi Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun), and his unexpected career as a detective.
Due to an incident, he entered the police force and worked under the feisty team leader, Lee Kang Hyun (Park Ji Hyun).
Throughout his participation in the team, Jin Yi Soo also learned more about himself, particularly the mysterious death of his mother.
'Flex X Cop' Episode 15 Rating: Ahn Bo Hyun's Drama Garners High Viewership Ahead of Finale
As the crime drama heads to finale, "Flex X Cop" becomes the most-watched K-drama in its time slot.
According to Nielsen Korea's report, Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun's series garnered an average nationwide rating of 9.5 percent.
Interestingly, SBS previously announced that the adaptation would return with Season 2. However, the cast members and target release date are yet to be confirmed.
'Flex X Cop' Episode 15: Was Jin Yi Soo Able To Find Out Cause of His Father's Demise?
Hansu's chairman's death surprised the nation after the police ruled out that it was a suicide. Per the investigation, the chairman's death was due to sleeping pills overdose.
Upon hearing such tragic news, Jin Yi Soo blamed himself and thought that his father had committed suicide because of him.
"Flex X Cop" Episode 15 featured the last hours of the chairman with Jin Yi Soo, who was questioning the truth about his mother's death.
At their vacation home, Jin Yi Soo confronted his father and told him that his mother didn't die because of suicide, and he suspected that it was something else.
At the time, Yi Soo suggested that his father might know the true reason behind it. However, he revealed to his son that he was about to leave all behind, and be with him and his mother and live quietly.
The next day, the chairman was found lifeless by his secretary inside his vacation home.
During the wake, the brothers, Jin Yi Soo and Jin Seung Joo, still couldn't process everything. Jin Yi Soo still blamed himself but believed that it might be a foul play since several pieces of evidence point to the fact that no sleeping pills were seen at the crime scene, just like what happened when his mother died.
With the help of the chairman's aide, Mr. Choi, and team leader Lee Kang Hyun, they gathered evidence, resulting in their prime suspects, Jin Seung Joo and his mother, Jo Hee Ja.

Also, in "Flex X Cop" Episode 15, Jo Hee Ja got a phone call from her helper that a cop was investigating them. She then got a visit from her son, Seung Joo, and he confronted her about the incident.
Here, Hee Ja was taken aback by Seung Joo's confession that he was the one who orchestrated the fake suicide and did it to get the whole Hansu, like what he was told by his mother.
In the last part of the episode, Jin Seung Joo was attending the inauguration of him taking over Hansu.
