Actor Lee Yi Kyung is coming under greater scrutiny as online gossip surrounding accusations of explicit messages continues to surface. The 36-year-old actor, whose versatility has become well-known for both his dramatic and comedic roles, has made no personal statement, while his agency promised to take strong legal action.
Citing KBZOOM, a person named "A" has accused Lee Yi Kyung of sending lewd and sexually inappropriate messages. On October 21, A shared on X (formerly Twitter), saying, "There were so many things I couldn't capture in screenshots with Lee Yi Kyung."
The accuser stated that they had lost some messages due to having switched phones but maintained that "some incriminating content remains."

A claimed to have shared screenshots on their personal blog, claiming they were exchanges with the actor.The messages—filled with derogatory language—spread widely and quickly across online platforms, leading to speculation and public outrage.
A asserted that their purpose was to "reveal the actor's true self."
Lee Yi Kyung's agency, Sangyoung ENT, pushed back hard on the controversy. The company asserted that the allegations were not only false, but also motivated by attempts to extort money. "We are currently preparing legal action in response to the defamation, false claims, and malicious rumors," the agency announced.
They further explained, "A had previously sent threatening emails demanding money around five months ago."
Meanwhile, DAUM transcribed that the accuser subsequently claimed they were threatened into withdrawal of their earlier statements. A wrote in their recent post, "Yes, I did tell them it was false before because I was threatened with a report if I didn't."
They continued, "I want to make it clear once again, this is not about money," asking the public to "wait a little longer" while they keep gathering evidence.
