The case of ASTRO member and Korean actor Cha Eunwoo seems to be witnessing more public attention in relation to increased scrutiny and debate stemming from previously expressed views about the acting capabilities of the star, which were revived in public discussion in relation to the recently reported tax evasion scandal that he is implicated in.

In recent days, netizens have gone through some of the key comments made about online communities Nate Pann, where various individuals have expressed several doubts about whether Cha Eunwoo's acting skills have received more emphasis based upon appearance rather than skill.
It was also found through several news agencies, such as Koreaboo, that screenshots of a popular post had gone viral.
In the viral post, a netizen offered a blunt assessment of Cha Eunwoo's acting history. Before presenting the comment, the post framed it as a long-held opinion that had gained renewed traction.

"Honestly, Cha Eunwoo was really terrible at acting... After this, he only took on quiet, cold roles where he barely talks, so it didn't stand out as much. But he's been consistently bad as hell," the post read.

The commenter continued, "By my standards, he's on the same level as Jisoo in Snowdrop, so I honestly found it strange that he didn't get dragged more, and that he keeps landing movie roles and lead drama roles...."
The criticism went further by addressing emotional range and casting choices. Introducing the next point, the post claimed limitations in his performances. "He absolutely can't handle characters that require even a little emotional expression. He should only take roles that are blank-faced and emotionless. That's the only way he doesn't burn through what little appeal he has," the commenter wrote, adding, "Seriously, he's just a celebrity with a good face...."

As the controversy surrounding the alleged tax evasion has damaged his public image, additional comments have appeared echoing similar sentiments. According to Nate Pann, multiple users shared their personal viewing experiences, many of them negative.
One commenter stated, "Yeah. I haven't watched a single thing Cha Eunwoo is in." Another added, "His singing, dancing, and acting are all pretty meh, but he makes 100 billion won just because he has a good face lol." Introducing further criticism, a separate user wrote, "Personally, I can usually tolerate bad acting and still watch, but Cha Eunwoo was the first one I had to give up on because I just couldn't handle it."
Other remarks focused on technical aspects of acting. "Even just seeing him in ads or variety shows, you could tell he wouldn't be able to act. His expressions are unnatural, and he doesn't seem to have any charisma," one comment read. Another recalled, "I remember the first time I saw him in a K-Drama. I immediately changed the channel. It looked like there was something wrong with his facial muscles."
Cha Eunwoo has not publicly responded to the renewed criticism. As discussions continue online, attention remains split between the ongoing scandal and broader questions about his future as an actor.
