Cameron Diaz On Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Split: It's A "Very Brave” Decision!

Cameron Diaz speaks her mind about her friend Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's split. "The Counselor" actress claims the couple have made a "very brave" decision to separate after 10 years of marriage.

Getting candid about her best friend Gwyneth Paltrow's decision to call off their marriage on Goop this Tuesday, Cameron Diaz says, "People want them to blow up and it to be ugly, but they're kind, generous, loving people who really care about one another."

"They've made a conscious effort to separate the part of their lives they don't want to live together anymore, and maintain a really beautiful, strong bond as parents and as friends," she added.

"I think people should really honor that and they should admire it and they should respect it. They've done something really extraordinary, and they've been very brave at presenting that to the public," Daily Mail UK reports.

The actress also dismissed reports on tension between Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, who are currently holidaying in Bahamas with their children, Apple, 9 and Moses, 7. Cameron Diaz said about the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split that they are still friends.

Cameron Diaz even defendsed Gywneth Paltrow on her bold decision saying, "Just because they don't want to be a couple together, doesn't mean that they have to hate one another. They are really good friends."

Meanwhile, Cameron Diaz is all set for her upcoming flick, "The Other Woman" where she plays the role of a mistress to Leslie Mann's onscreen husband.

When Extra caught up with "The Other Woman" star at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Cameron Diaz shared her thoughts on the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split.

The actress shared that couple's "Conscious Uncoupling" post on their Goop website is "actually a very elevated and conscious and realized statement."

Cameron Diaz continued, "Leaving as a couple and deciding to stay together as parents and as friends... I think it's beautiful. I'm so proud of them."
