A sequel to "The Goonies" is a strong possibility according to director Richard Donner, who hopes to reunite the cast of the 80's classic.
While signing autographs, Donner, who has also directed "Superman" and "Lethal Weapon" movies, was asked to give his opinion on the increase of superhero movies in 2014 Hollywood.
When TMZ asked Donner if he has plans to make another comic book movie, he replied, "If you call 'The Goonie' a comic book, we're doing a sequel."
Then inclined to unveil what cast members would return to "The Goonies" sequel, Donner said, "Hopefully all of them."
That means actors like Corey Feldman, Josh Brolin, Sean Astin, and Jeff Cohen would return for the sequel.
These actors have traveled different paths since their appearance in the 1985 cult classic.
Feldman, who has acting roles from time to time, is a reality TV star and singer of a band. The actor has been on board for a "Goonies" sequel for years, Then Guardian reported.
While Brolin and Astin maintain successful acting careers in Tinsel Town, Cohen is an entertainment lawyer.
"The Goonies" was originally about Oregon pre-teens on a search for pirate treasure after they discover they might lose their homes due to the construction of a country club.
Produced by Steven Spielberg, the movie was noted as one of the top children's films of the 1980's.
Donner, who is 83-year-old, hasn't directed since 2006's "16 Blocks." Still, him and his wife Lauren Schuler Donner on the Donner Company, the production company that is credited for the the X-Men movies.
