Park Ki Woong will display a range of conflicting emotions in the film "Mad Sad Bad."

Last year the actor played a man with mixed feelings about his mission in the film "Secretly Greatly" with co-stars Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Hyun Woo. He was a North Korean spy pretending to be a rock musician but he got to like his new life. He also won a DramaFever Best Bromance award last year for his love-hate relationship with Joo Won in the 2012 drama "Bridal Mask." He appears in the Kim Ki Duk film "Made In China" and will enlist as a conscripted policeman in May.

His role in the 3D three-part film "Mad Sad Bad" is playing a man who hates zombies but then falls in love with one. Park Ki Woong appears in "Saw You," the second of the film's three stories, which takes place after the feared zombie apocalypse.

The zombie epidemic did not end as badly as feared because someone came up with a cure. When the zombies take their medicine they don't remember their zombie lives. But they're not quite human either. And they get used as slaves.

Park Ki Woong plays Yeo Wool, the manager of a factory that employs the cured zombies. He doesn't think much of them. But one of the zombies, Shi Wa, played by Nam Gyu Ri, follows him around. When she collapses, he feels sorry for her. His interest helps her remember some of the memories of her previous life and before he knows it he falls in love with her.

Han Ji Seung directed this part of the film.

According to Han Ji Seung, Nam Gyu Ri, managed to look so pretty despite her zombie makeup that the cast took to calling her "flower zombie."

He also said that she and Park Ki Woong had plenty of chemistry and worked together very comfortably.

The other two stories in the film are "Ghost" and "Picnic." "Ghost" is based on the true story of a university student killed by teens. Directed by Ryu Seung Wan, it stars Lee David, who appeared in "The Terror Live," and rookie actress Son Soo Hyun.

In "Picnic" 8-year-old Soo Min, played by Kim Soo An, is frustrated by her handicapped brother when he destroys her comic. So she takes him on a picnic and plans to leave him there.

"Mad Bad Sad" will be shown at the Jeonju International Film Festival between May 1 and 10.

Which stories are mad, sad or bad? Viewers will have to see the film to decide.
