Venus and Serena Williams' father, Richard Williams, thinks parents these days should be stricter on their kids.
In his new book, "Black and White: The Way I See It," he offers parenting advice by sharing his experience raising tennis stars Venus and Serena.
Although the book allegedly doesn't reveal a lot about how his daughters became tennis pros, it still can possibly educate a lot of parents.
"I released the book because Serena kept telling me to," Williams said. "She thought it would help a lot of people."
Despite the fact that Serena and Venus' father has drafted many books about him and his family, this is the first one that has been published. There is another one in the making centered more on his daughters.
Williams' book, that will be launched this week, was written by Bart Davis. "Black and White" is like an autobiography, guide to parenting, and tennis tutorial all in one.
"I feel that we're way too soft on our children. I don't understand all these parents today who are always telling their kids how special they are, without them proving it. That's not faith, that's flattery. The way Venus and Serena were raised, they didn't have any choice but to be strong." Williams said.
