Robert Pattinson News Update 2014: Twilight actor's ex-lover, Kirsten Stewart is reportedly nervous to see Robert Pattinson. According to the Hollywood Gossip, it seems the former lovers will likely be crossing paths at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival, and Kristen is reportedly less than pleased about it.

A source close to Stewart says, "Awkward is an understatement. Kristen hates confrontation so seeing Rob will be strange for both of them," says a source close to Stewart.

The two seem to have moved on from their four-year relationship. Pattinson is reportedly dating Imogen Ker and Kristen being romantically linked to a variety of men in the time since their split according to Hollywood Gossip.

However, the chance of meeting each other is high for the ex-couple as Kristen and Rob have apparently rented villas nearby one another for the Cannes Festival.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry claims that a source close to Pattinson told them that he has reached out to Kristen about renting a villa for both of them to share during the film festival.

"Rob is still carrying a torch for Kristen, he loves her deeply and wants some intimate alone time together," the source said.

Some have guessed that a Robsten reunion could be in the works, but considering they're both reportedly dating other people and have made a habit of avoiding one another recently, that seems unlikely.

The two were both in attendance at the recent Coachella music festival, but Pattinson hung out with Katy Perry all weekend while Stewart made a point of keeping her distance from her previous boyfriend.

Pattinson and Stewart both have films nominated at Cannes Festival. Both of them are known for their impressive red carpet appearances. Celebrity Dirty Laundry speculates that red carpet at Cannes Film Festival will be a "perfect setting for the estranged couple to put all of the drama aside and work things out."The event that will take place from May 14 to 25 will showcase some 18 films competing for the most coveted award Palme d'Or prize. This event will include Robert Pattinson's "The Rover" and "Maps to the Stars" and his ex Kristen Stewarts' "Clouds of Sils Maria." They will also be joined by slew of high profile Hollywood actors including Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum, Ryan Reynolds and more, IBT reported.
