In a recent interview, singer Lana Del Rey revealed that she is capable of becoming envious of other females.
When talking to German magazine, Lana confirmed she can grow weary when she thinks she has musical competition.
"I'm also jealous of other women, if I think they're trying to take away my place in a musical genre," said Lana right after she admitted to understanding the envy of people.
Although she can relate to people feeling jealous, Lana doesn't want that negativity within her circle. The singer opened up about cutting off some folks.
"Over the last years I had to dissociate from some people, because I knew they aim to something different than I do," said Lana. "I don't want to hold on something tangible, it's more important to have true relationships."
She also touched somewhat on her process when making music.
"I'm usually frustrated, because I think think differently," said Lana. "In my opinion it's about creating magic through words."
When speaking on her new album "Ultraviolence," Lana said, "It has all the elements I wanted: beauty, hardness, femininity, the clash of the masculine and the feminine."
In addition, Lana shared her initial dislike for "West Coast," one of her singles on "Ultraviolence."
"I didn't like 'West Coast' at first, it was very traditional. Strophe, refrain, strophe, retrain. Actually it shouldn't have been on the album, but then Dan Auerbach worked on it," said Lana.
At Kimye's pre-wedding dinner, Lana happened to perform hits like "Young and Beautiful" and "Summertime Sadness."
