Earlier this month, the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore made it to the headlines for her see-through top. No, it was not a fashion statement. Scott Willis dished off her bra and flashed her nipples during a recent Hollywood red carpet event. Yet, Willis did not just stop there. Apparently, it was just the beginning of her 'unique' way of protesting.
This week, she walked along the streets of New York City, not just without a bra but, this time, without a top. Yes, she went topless and showed her breasts. The 22-year-old daughter of celebrities wore only a floral skirt. This was part of her personal protest against Instagram for its anti-women nudity policy. Willis was even proud to share a few of her photos baring her breasts. One had the caption, "What @instagram won't let you see #FreeTheNipple." Another caption she posted remarked, "Legal in NYC but not on @instagram." Without a doubt, you know she meant business! In fact, she was correct in her assertion that women are allowed to go topless in public all across the New York City.
She further attacked Instagram's policy with her hate tweets. "My comfort with my body should not be dictated by how others perceive me. However, I don't wish to force this view on anyone." Taking into consideration that her posts may offend others in her social circles, she also asserted, "If you don't like what you see, simply unfollow me."
Since her topless protest is landing on numerous news sites, one could no longer argue that whatever it is she is fighting for is getting all the attention she wants.
In response, Instagram also issued an official statement stating, "We try hard to find a good balance between allowing people to express themselves creatively and keeping Instagram a fun and safe place. Our guidelines put limitations on nudity and mature content. Once content is reported to us, we review it and remove if it violates our policies."
