Jennifer Lopez and Maksim Chmerkovskiy Dating? 'American Idol' Judge Has Moved On Following Split from Casper Smart

"American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez may have ended her relationship with former backup dancer Casper Smart but the "I Luh Ya Papi's" heart sure isn't lonely.

Multiple sources revealed that the 40-year-old Lopez is currently dating "Dancing With the Stars" alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy. A source confirmed the news to NY Daily News that Lopez's and Chmerkovskiy's relationship is still pretty new.

The alleged couple first met late last year when they both worked on a performance ahead of the American Music Awards. At that time, Lopez was still in relationship with 27-year-old Smart and Chmerkovskiy was still romatically linked to supermodel Kate Upton, according to Page Six.

Another insider explained, "They were definitely attracted to each other, but nothing happened between them."

Meanwhile, Maksim's fellow "DWTS" alum, Tony Dovolani, has maintained close contact with Lopez's best friend, Leah Remini. As such, they have created a small world amongst themselves, E! News noted.

The source told the publication, "Leah and Jennifer are best friends. So as a group, they're all very friendly. Maks is in India and JLo's at the World Cup right now. Who knows what could happen down the road?"

Meanwhile, Lopez and Smart ended their relationship earlier this week after speculations heightened that Smart has been flirting with two transgender models.

Sofie Vissa, the first transgender model who came out revealed how Smart started chatting with her on Instagram.

In an interview with Woman's Day, Vissa confessed, "I do hashtags on Instagram to get a lot of followers. I'd put #TS or #Shemale or #transgendered on them. I remember I put those hashtags on one of my photos and when I went back to look at my phone I'd got a request from Casper."

However, sources close to Lopez denied that the estranged couple's breakup was a result of the dancer's cheating.
