It's been 25 years since we've seen the group of parapsychologists on the big screen; and with the recent "Ghostbusters 3" spoilers coming out, we may see them again! Dan Aykroyd (Raymond Stantz), Bill Murray (Peter Venkman), and Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler) headlined "Ghostbusters" (1984) and "Ghostbusters II" (1989), which became a huge hit back in the 80s.

Both movies were directed by Ivan Reitman, who was a bit hesitant in doing a sequel for "Ghostbusters" back then. Most of the cast also feel the same way, but Columbia was able to lure the actors to reprise their role. When Harold Ramis was asked by NY Times if there's a chance for "Ghostbusters III", he said: ''I doubt it very much. It's so hard to get everybody together. And we're so much older. There's a lot more hair dye being used this time. When it's face-lift time, we'll have to quit.''

That interview was done in the late 80s so imagine what the 69-year old actor and the rest of the cast will think of when asked to do another sequel. Out of all the actors, only Dan Aykroyd seems to be getting thrilled by the "Ghostbusters 3" spoilers. During an interview with the Today show, the 62-year old actor confirmed that the third installment of "Ghostbusters" will push through.

Dan Aykroyd told Carson Daly, "It looks like we'll be in pre-production in the spring now, from what I'm hearing. It should be good." The former SNL host also shared some of his memories while filming "Ghostbusters". If the veteran actor is excited to do a sequel, then Ivan Reitman thinks otherwise.

Indiewire reported that the original director declined working on the "Ghostbusters 3". There were rumors that Phil Lord and Chris Miller will take over, but apparently the two also refused to take the job. Just a few weeks ago, Zombieland's Ruben Fleischer was rumored to direct the film, but there's still no confirmation. Since Bill Murray has worked with him in that movie, then he may eventually convince the young director to give the classic "Ghosbusters" a new twist.

What do you think of the latest "Ghostbusters 3" spoilers? Do you think this project will finally push through?
