There's been a bit of delay in regards to the production of season 8 of the "The Big Bang Theory."

"Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on 'The Big Bang Theory' - which was originally scheduled to begin today - has been postponed," Warner Bros. said in a statement issued on Wednesday, according to NY Daily News.

Although the delay is for just one day, the "situation is to be reassessed on a day-to-day basis," according to the publication TVLine.

Season 8 of the "The Big Bang Theory" is currently delayed because the show's five original cast members, including Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar, are reportedly renegotiating their contracts.

Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco-Sweeting are reportedly seeking raises that will result in their salaries going from $300,000 per episode to $1 million per episode.

TVLine reports that Helberg and Nayyar are reportedly hoping to get pay raises as well while they are currently allegedly earning $125,000 and $75,000 respectively.

Nina Tassler, the CBS president, stated that the network is "feeling very confident that everything will work out," according to Deadline.

"These deals manage to get done somehow miraculously year after year," Tassler stated.

Season 8 of "The Big Bang Theory" is set to premiere on September 22.
