A man from Boston who attended Keith Urban's sold out concert at the Xfinity Center has been charged with rape, after he allegedly forced a 17-year-old girl to have sex with him.

Multiple sources reported that Murphy and the unnamed teenager had sex in front of concertgoers in Mansfield over the weekend.

The suspect, Sean Murphy, 18, was one of the many other concertgoers taken into custody by police officials, initially due to alcohol poisoning, according to Boston CBS Local.

However, he was later on charged with rape for allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old girl he just met at the concert, the same publication revealed.

A concerned citizen saw Murphy and the girl having sex on the concert lawn so she decided to call the attention of a police officer. After which, the officer asked Murphy's accuser if she gave her consent and she said no, Mass Live reported.

Defense attorney Neil Crowley meanwhile clarified that Murphy has never been charged with anything and as such, has no criminal record. Additionally, he isn't being accused of forcing himself against the girl.

"This was a consensual act, not a sexual assault. There are no allegation of force or violence against him. This was a private act that regrettably occurred in a public place. The young woman was neither intoxicated nor overcome by drugs at the time. Mr. Murphy deeply regrets this incident, and I'm sure the young woman does as well," Crowley said in a statement.

Murphy meanwhile pled no guilty and insisted that the intercourse was consensual, TMZ reported.

Meanwhile, a number of concertgoers were also taken into protective custody after police officials received a complaint related to alcohol use.

As of late, Keith Urban has not yet commented regarding the issue. His publicist has encouraged the media to directly communicate with local authorities instead of his client, according to Mass Live.
