Mavs Owner Mark Cuban slashed International Olympic Committee

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban had some pretty rough words for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) right after the unfortunate incident that happened over one of NBA's star player, Paul George. George played for the US National Team on a US exhibition games last Friday night on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

George has suffered an open tibia-fibula fracture on his right leg right after he landed on his right leg awkwardly after trying to defend a layup. His bone snaps right above the ankle early in the fourth quarter of the games. The remaining time was cancelled thereafter.

Because of this, Cuban sees that the IOC is there to reap the profit while the clubs suffer the risk. He said "The greatest trick ever played was the IOC convincing the world that the Olympics were about patriotism and national pride instead of money. The players and owners should get together and create our own World Cup of Basketball."

But aside from the accident, the IOC has had their fair share of controversies which quickly fueled Cuban mistrust to the organization.

According to Cuban "The (IOC) is playing the NBA. The IOC is an organization that has been rife with corruption. The IOC (makes) billions of dollars."

He added "The pros in multiple sports are smart enough to not play when they are eligible free agents. But teams take on huge financial risk so that the IOC committee members can line their pockets."

Specialist said that the two-time All-Star Paul George has a long way to go after surgery according to doctors. Even though George has said that he is resting comfortable right after surgery. Doctors are speculating that the NBA star will be undergoing a long recovery process.

The Pacers are struggling over this loss knowing that they also had Lance Stephenson departure from the team due to free agency. They now fear that George will be out of the games for the whole season in order to recuperate.

This is going to be a tough season for the Indiana Pacers and that they would definitely need all the help they can get from the rest of the team.
