After wrapping up the very successful US leg of the Queen and Adam Lambert tour, the group is now heading to Australia for a series of new shows.

The 'For Your Entertainment' singer and Queen arrived at Perth last Monday to prepare for their first Australian tour this Friday.

When Adam Lambert was first announced to fill in for Freddie Mercury's massive shoes for the legendary band's 2014 tour, critics and naysayers opposed the decision. Queen purists were against Lambert as the group's vocalist but the Grammy-nominated singer proved them wrong.

The US leg of the tour was a roaring success, bridging the generation gap between Queen and Adam Lambert fans (or Glamberts) through a spectacular show and timeless music.

Guitarist Brian May recently told The Pulse Of Radio that having Lambert in the tour brought back the group's passion to perform as Queen again.

"[Adam has] woken us up, and just in time," the legendary guitarist told The Pulse Of Radio. "There's a big call to do more shows now. So, there's a good possibility that we will do more shows."

May also admitted that when their original frontman, Freddie Mercury died in 1991, the band thought their careers would also die with him.

"When Freddie went, I thought: 'That's it. We did that. It was a great life. Now, it's time to have a different life.' And for years, we didn't try to be Queen in any way," he explained.

Now, however, with the roaring success of their current tour, May felt "overcome with it."

He added, "To come back now, all of these years later, and to fill those places and to hear that noise. That's vindication for the fact that we should be playing, we should be out there."

Queen will be releasing a new album soon entitled 'Queen Forever' and will reportedly feature digitally recovered Mercury and Michael Jackson collaborations.

If the success of the Queen and Adam Lambert tour is any indicator, this highly anticipated comeback album will also be welcomed with open arms by music lovers all over the world.
