Adam Lambert's voice has getting more popular these days with the series of very successful shows with the legendary Queen. Too popular in fact that the 'For Your Entertainment' singer has insured his vocal cords for a whopping $47 million dollars or £30 million according to The Mirror!

With a series of shows up ahead for him and the iconic rock group Queen for their joint tour, the Grammy-nominated singer seems to have felt it necessary to protect his voice from any type of damage.

According to The Sunday Mirror, the tour with Queen is so successful that the singer's management has decided to take out the policy last week to protect Lambert's best asset.

"Insurance for stars is a big deal in the US and Adam's voice is his bacon. He had it insured last week," said a source.

Click Music also reports another source as saying, "He has taken out insurance on his voice. His voice is a powerhouse and the explosive success of the Queen tour has made everyone more cautious. They just want peace of mind - it's as simple as that."

Although Lambert has only released two albums since taking home second place in 'American Idol,' he has been praised by various critics as well as prominent musical directors.

Brian May, Queen's guitarist himself, praised the 32-year-old singer just recently. He told The Pulse Of Radio that Lambert has "woken us up, and just in time" since the band has been getting more requests for shows.

Queen's music director, Spike Edney, also expressed his awe for Adam Lambert's voice and talent in general in his newsletter. He called the 'If I Had You' singer "one of the most naturally charismatic and gifted vocalists I have ever seen."

According to a source from the Mirror, "The reaction to the tour has been so successful in the US that organisers are desperately trying to get some dates set up in the UK, while they've got momentum."

Adam Lambert and Queen are currently in Australia, preparing for their first show in the country on Friday.
