Bomb threats and phone calls from serial killers abound for 'CSI:Las Vegas' season 15!

According to CBS' synopsis of episode one, Finlay (Elisabeth Shue) will find herself in danger as DB Russell (Ted Danson) gets a call from a person in his past.

"Finlay must deal with a bomb planted in her car, while Russell gets a call from someone claiming to be the Gig Harbor killer," the official synopsis reads.

The premiere episode, written by Christopher Barbour and Don McGill and directed by Alec Smight, will bring viewers right into the action.

'CSI: Las Vegas' season 15 will have Mark-Paul Gosselaar as the twins Jared Briscoe and Paul Winthrop. Mark Valley will also guest as Detective Daniel Shaw.

Patricia Arquette, who guest starred last season for a cyber crime case, will also be coming back, Entertainment Weekly said last month. She will reportedly guest star on the second episode possibly to promote CBS' new spinoff series 'CSI: Cyber.'

Arquette will be headlining the Crime Scene Investigation spinoff as Special Agent Avery Ryan. James van der Beek and Peter MacNicol have also been tapped as series regulars.

Executive producer Carol Mendelsohn announced that she will not be working on 'CSI: Las Vegas' season 15 but she will reportedly be focusing on 'Cyber' instead.

"We're very excited about what we have planned for you this year. It's super dark and twisted," CBS' The Writers' Room informed the show's viewers through Twitter last June.

They also reassured viewers that although the next season will be dark, it will also be "a fun season (and dark), but not painful. Fun!!! :)"

'CSI: Las Vegas' season 15 will air on Sunday, September 28. CBS plans to air the new season early to give way for 'CSI: Cyber' which will take up the timeslot in Spring.
