Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho Up For Best Actor Awards

The 2014 Korea Drama Awards has published its list of nominees and some k-drama favorites are up for awards. Kim Soo Hyun, Jun Ji Hyun, Ha Ji Won, and Lee Min Ho will compete for the Best Actor Award, as contenders are considered from the three major networks as well as the cable channels.

Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun are nominated for "You Who Came From Another Star," while Lee Min Ho will be considered for "The Heirs." Ha Ji Won is also in the running for her role in "Empress Ki."

Contenders in the Best Drama category include "You Who Came From Another Star" Empress Ki," King's Family," "Jeong Do Jeon" and "Secret Love Affair."

"Jang Bo Ri Is Here, "You Who Came From Another Star," Jeong Dp Jeon," "Reply 1994" and "Secret Love Affair" were nominated for Best Screenwriting.  The directors of "Empress Ki," "You Who Came From Another Star," "The Heirs," "Secret Lover Affair" and "Reply 1994" are up for Best Director.

Many favorite k-drama actors and actresses were nominated, some for more than one role.

The Best Male Actor category includes Ji Chang Wook for "Empress Ki," Lee Seung Gi for "You're All Surrounded," Lee Jong Suk for "Doctor Stranger," Kim Jaejoong for "Triangle" and Yoo Ah In for "Secret Love Affair." The Best Female Actor nominees include Oh Yeon Seo for "Jang Bo Ri Is Here" and "Hwang Jung Eum for "Secret" and "Endless Love." Lee Ji Ah was nominated for "Thrice Married Woman," Choi Ji Woo for "The Suspicious Housekeeper" and Kim Hee Ae for "Secret Love Affair."

Best Supporting Actor nominees include Park Hae Jin for "You Who Came From Another Star," Kim Woo Bin for "The Heirs" and Choi Jin Hyuk for "The Heirs" and "Fated To Love You." Seo In Guk was nominated for "high School King of Manners' although you could argue that his was a leading role. Lee Kwang Soo was nominated for "It's Okay It's Love."

The Best Supporting Actress nominees are Baek Jin Hee for "Empress Ki," Jun so Min for "Princess Aurora," Lee Jin for "Shining Romance," Kang So Ra for "Doctor Stranger" and Park Han Byul for "A Well Grown Daughter."Best New Male actor nominees include Ahn Jae Hyun, Lee Yi Kyung, Son Ho Joon, Seo Kang Joon and Lee Joon. Best New Female Actors include Dasom, Kim Ga Eun, Jun Hyo Sung, Dohee and Go Sung Hee.
