According to Fast National ratings for Oct. 8, 2014, "Stalker" won the hour (10pm) with a 1.7 rating among adults 18 to 49. The show also completed CBS' primetime sweep with 8.13 million viewers.

"Stalker" season 1 episode 2 recap: Titled "Whatever Happened to Baby James", Beth, Jack, and the Threat Assessment Unit did an investigation after a stalker broke into the house of a teenage girl. Later, she realized that she's not the one being targeted. Meanwhile, Perry visits Beth at work.

Maggie Q ("Nikita") plays Lt. Beth Davis in this CBS police drama. She heads the Los Angeles Police Department's threat assessment unit that probes stalking - whatever is the form may be. She is burdened with an unwanted sidekick in Detective Jack Larsen, played by Dylan McDermott.

In an interview with Hollywood Life, he shared the primary reasons (or persons) that made him accept the project: Kevin Williamson and Maggie.

"He's proven himself on television in many ways, and even in movies. I think he's a great creator and those are the people that I want to work with. I try to surround myself with - whether it be Ryan Murphy or David E. Kelly - the best on television, and certainly, he's right there. And then Maggie...with her, it makes it an easy 'yes'."

Maggie hopes people on social media, particularly young women and girls, learn from the show. She told Collider, "Think twice about what they're putting out there.  I think we're not protecting ourselves the way that we should, and we are giving too much information.  Because of our access to each other, stalking has increased 30% in the last decade.  It's not just a look over your shoulder thing.  Be careful what you put out there."
