Terminator Genesis Plot: Leaked Photos Show Arnold As Aging 'Terminator'; Original Director James Cameron Explains Why This Is So!

Terminator Genesis Plot

Actor Jai Courtney, who will be appearing in the breed of Terminator movies has been very open about sharing bits and pieces of Terminator Genesis' plot. From him, we know that these new movies will not be a "reboot," but in his own words, the actor has called it a "reset." We also know that this will involve some time traveling storylines.

But recent leaked photos from the new Terminator: Genesis set has people wondering why some crucial details are the way they are. The most talked about photo involves Arnold Scwarnezegger playing a T-800 that looks quite old. Perhaps this is part of some Terminator Genesis plot that we don't know about? But a recent Deadline interview has shed light on the reason why the T-800 looks like it's ready to retire. The interview involves original Terminator director James Cameron himself. Of course he has officially stated that he is not in any way involved in these new Terminator movies, but it has not stopped him from sharing some crucial pieces of advice about the Terminator universe -- specifically, details about Arnold Schwarzenegger's character.

"I pointed out that the outer covering of the Terminator was actually not synthetic, that it was organic and therefore could age. You could theoretically have a Terminator that was sent back in time, missed his target, and ended up just kind of living on in society," Cameron shared. "Because he is a learning computer and ha s brain  as a central processor, he could actually become more human as he went along without getting discovered."

Having said this bit, and influencing in some way at least, the new Terminator Genesis plot, James Cameron really is insistent that he has no involvement with the new movies. In an interview with Empire Magazine he has said he will not be affected about the turnout of Terminator Genysis.

"It's not my problem! It's like being  a grandparent, the kids come over and you can send them back! When I walked away from the franchise, I had to do it with the sense that I can invest in emotion," the director said. "To me, it's all upside, because if it's good, it's good for Arnold, my friend Laeta [Kalogridis' and if it's not good? It doesn't bother me personally."
