Ellen DeGeneres & Portia De Rossi Going Through Emotional Tension? Planned Baby Chat On TV Aims To Divert Divorce Rumors?

Ellen DeGeneres & Portia De Rossi's divorce rumors seem to simmer down a bit after the "Arrested Development" star sit for an interview with Ellen. According to online tabloid Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the baby chat in The Ellen DeGeneres Show was "phony and contrived." Is it a plan devised to divert people's attention away from rumored divorce despite the presence of emotional tension between the two?

"An uncomfortable, awkward Portia looked like she wanted to be anywhere else. The body doesn't lie. It's very contrived and there is a lot of emotional tension between the two. What seemed clear to me from her body language was that Ellen did not want to have a baby ... and she expected Portia to feel the same way," according to a body language expert.

It has been previously reported that the duo is having a lot of trouble in their marriage and in the midst of De Rossi's troubles and alleged rehab visits, DeGeneres is said to drop her drinking habits to show support for the De Rossi.

Reports say that De Rossi, 41, allegedly participates in a 30-day program for substance abuse at Passages Malibu rehab facility in May. According to OK magazine, the pair made real efforts to revive their connection during their downtimes despite rumored shaky relationship.  The two were spotted enjoying on a yacht off the coast of Croatia last June 29.

People close to the couple attested that Ellen and Portia has worked their way through the glitches they've been in.

"Ellen says that she and Portia are doing so much better," a source told RadarOnline.com.

"Towards the end of last season [of Ellen's talk show] everything was really taking a toll on her," the insider added. "While Portia was in treatment and everyone was predicting that they were getting a divorce, it was really hard. But thankfully, all of that has passed."
