Clara Named The Second Most Beautiful Woman In The World
Korean model and actress Clara has been named the second most beautiful woman in the world by Mode Lifestyle magazine. And while that title is already impressive, it's even more impressive considering that she won second place over such attractive international stars as Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie and Beyonce.
The recently published 100 Most Beautiful Women of the World 2014 list featured some of the world's most stunning singers, models and actresses. And model and actress Clara Lee was the only female Asian celebrity to make it to the top 10.
"Clara has both the physical beauty and sprightly charms, to qualify her for Mode's first Asian cover girl," said a Mode representative at the awards announcement press conference.
First place went to American model Tania Marie Caringi and third place went to Romanian model Cristina Maria Saracut. Actress and model Jessica Alba was ranked in fourth place. Brazilian Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio was ranked fifth most beautiful woman. Actress Scarlett Johansson earned sixth place, while singer Beyonce was in seventh place. Eighth and ninth place went to South African Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel and Brazilian Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima. Tenth place went to filmmaker/actress Angelina Jolie.
Clara has been acting since 2005 when she debuted with the film "Five Senses of Eros." She attracted international attention during the summer of 2013, when she became a trending topic after throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in a Korean baseball game. It was not what she did that attracted attention but rather what she wore: form-fitting leggings that accentuated her perfect figure. Her figure also provoked comment when she played intern Han Ah Reum in "Emergency Couple."
In that drama Clara's character was an emergency room intern working with the characters played by Choi Jin Hyuk and Song Ji Hyo. Han Ah Reum was the wellborn girl that Choi Jin Hyuk's parents wanted to set him up on a blind date with. But she lost him to his ex-wife, played by Song Ji Hyo. Besides acting in "Emergency Couple" during 2014 Clara also had a cameo in the romantic comedy "Fated To Love You." She has also been cast in the 2014 film "Working Girl."
The Swiss-born actress is apparently on a winning streak as she also recently won the second season of the SBS fashion competition show "Fashion King Korea," along with her partner, designer Choi Bum Suk.
