It is still 4 years to go before "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" hit the theaters. While everybody's busy thinking if Emma Stone will return in the third and last installment of Marc Webb's Spider-Man franchise, some others are wondering if the TASM3 will be the end of Spider-Man too.

If "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" will be the death of our friendly neighborhood superhero, would it be the best plot for the third installment to finally bounce back?

Although the second sequel grossed of our $700 million globally, it was considered a disappointment as it is the lowest grossing among the Spider-Man franchise installment.

The third sequel of "The Amazing Spider-Man" is pushed to 2018, making way for its movie spinoff "The Sinister Six" to be released in 2016. This gives room to speculations that the third installment will be the intense revenge time for the super villains who are eager to defeat Spider-Man.

The rumor already came out last year prior to the release of the second installment. In an article published at ComicBook.com in December 2013, it was stated that "Sony Pictures plans to kill off Spider-Man in ['The] Amazing Spider-Man 3'." Although it seems unlikely to end the life of a lead actor, Sony Pictures may find a way to make it acceptable to the audience.

We can also recall in 2012 that the Marvel comic series also kill off Peter Parker in "The Death of Spider-Man" that shocked Spidey comic book readers.

Axel Alonso Marvel Comics editor in chief told the News in December 2012, "We didn't make this move lightly. No one loves Peter Parker more than Dan Slott, the man who killed him."

Depending on how Peter Parker/Spider-Man will die, Marc Webb should be prepared to explain to the moviegoers why he thinks it is best to end "The Amazing Spider-Man 3" that way.

However, there is also rumor that Spider-Man, might portrayed by Andrew Garfield, will appear in "The Sinister Six" and will die, which will give way to the new story plot in the third sequel of "The Amazing Spider-Man". If that is the case, would that mean Peter Parker/Spider-Man will be revived in the last installment?
