Jessica Chastain Captain Marvel: On Playing Possible Marvel Superhero 'I Want To Kick Ass'; Actress Reveals She Would Be 'Incredible' In Villain Role Too!

Jessica Chastain has made a name for herself starring in some of the most provocative films in the last years, starting with Zero Dark Thirty, for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress. Recently, she is topbilling Dark Knight director, Christopher Nolan's epic sci-fi movie, Interstellar. But the latest news is that the versatile actress will be conquering the superhero world through Marvel! According to rumors, Jessica Chastain's Captain Marvel role is being finalized as the actress wants to try her hand at being a superhero.

In very recent interview with MTV, the actress revealed that she is currently in talks with Marvel for a possible superhero role. "Whatever it is, I want a fight scene. I could be an incredible villain. I could be a hero. I want a cool outfit, and I want to kick ass," Chastain says. She also made it clear that she didn't want to have to play the role of a "boring civilian." We've talked about aligning our forces in the future. And here's the thing with me . . . If you're going to be in a superhero movie, you only get one chance," the actress relates." You're that character forever. So why do a superhero movie and play the boring civilian?"

This of course has sparked rumors that the Jessica Chastain Captain Marvel movie is surely to be confirmed any day now. But the actress herself took to Twitter to deny the rumors that she was talking about playing Captain Marvel when she gave that interview to MTV.

"Oops uh oh....I've never had talks about Captain Marvel. Was referring to a different film from over a year ago, in my recent MTV interview," the actress posted on her Twitter account
