Ella Purnell May Join Eva Green And Asa Butterfield In Tim Burton’s ‘Peregrine’s Home Of Peculiars’ Cast!
After the news that Eva Green may star as the guardian in Tim Burton's "Peregrine's Home of Peculiars", Ella Purnell may also join the cast.
"Peregrine's Home of Peculiars" to be helmed by "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" Director Tim Burton is based on Ransom Riggs' novel with title "Miss Peregrine's Home of Peculiar Children". Eva Green was the first actress who was reported to cast the said movie adaptation as the guardian of the orphans who is known as Miss Peregrine.
Then, a news came that "Ender's Game" young star Asa Butterfield is the favorite male star for the lead role of Jacob Portman. Now, Ella Purnell is in negotiation to work with Green and Butterfield.
The 18-year-old Purnell was first seen in her notable role in "Never Let Me Go" in 2010 as the young version of Ruth. She was also seen as Dolce in "Kick-Ass 2" in 2013 before landing on the role of the young Maleficent in the movie with same title this year.
As reported by Variety last November 5, "Ella Purnell and Asa Butterfield are in negotiations to join Eva Green in Tim Burton's 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' at 20th Century Fox.
Butterfield had been reported to be the favorite for the male lead. Sources now say he and Purnell have offers and negotiations are underway."
The upcoming movie by Tim Burton, "Peregrine's Home of Peculiars", is about the 16-year-old Jacob Portman who arrives in a mysterious, titular orphanage in the coast of Wales to unravel the truth behind his grandfather's death.
Upon arrival in the ruins of Miss Peregrine's place, he believes that some of people who lived in there might not have left and that the orphanage still exists only that the mysterious, strange dwellers are attacked by and under threat from dark forces.
Tim Burton's "Peregrine's Home of Peculiars" is set to start production in 2015, with Eva Green and, if the two young actors have signed the deal, Asa Butterfield and Ella Purnell will join her. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2016.
