Keanu Reeves, Ana De Armas To Work With Mira Sorvino In ‘Daughter Of God’ Movie

Keanu Reeves has a new female co-star to work with apart from Cuban actress Ana de Armas in a mystery-thriller film "Daughter of God". Mira Sorvino is confirmed to join the cast, based on Variety report.

Sorvino started her career breakthrough when she won Best Supporting Actress award from various award-giving bodies, including Academy Award and Golden Globe Award, for her role Linda Ash in the movie "Mighty Aphrodite" in 1995.

She also got female lead roles in the films "Romy and Michele' s High School Reunion" as Romy in 1997, "Mimic" as Dr. Susan Tyler in 1997, and "The Replacement Killers" as Meg Coburn, opposite Chow Yun-Fat, in 1998.

The actress is currently seen in BBC America series "Intruders".

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves has recently been busy for his action movie "John Wick" that receives approval and positive reviews from both moviegoers and movie critics. He was spotted in the 2014 US Formula 1 Gran Prix last November 2 at Austin, Texas, and was covering the event for SportTV.

"The Matrix" actor is not only working with Ana de Armas for "Daughter of God" but also in Eli Roth's psycho-thriller film "Knock Knock" along with Lorenza Izzo and Ignacia Allamand.

Going back to "Daughter of God" movie, the story revolves around a Latina woman who encounters strange events after witnessing a miracle and a police detective who is in search for truth behind the death of his partner.

New actors are also on board: Christopher McDonald, Big Daddy Kane, Michael Rispoli, and Laura Gomez.

"Daughter of God" is the first project of Remark Films, a new production shingle, which aims to co-finance two to five $10-million (or less) films in a year. The film starring Keanu Reeves, who is one of the producers, is currently in New York for production of principal photography under the helm of Gee Malik Linton.

Reeves, Linton, and Robin Gurland are co-producing the film with executive producers Daniel Grodnik (Mass Hysteria Entertainment), Cassian Elwes, and the penny stock investors Kramer brothers, Curt and Seth.
