HBO Westworld Premiere

It is now being touted as the biggest shows to hit television in the near future -- with its star studded cast, the interesting material the story is based on, plus the iconic names in the industry who are producing it. Even ahead of the much touted HBO Westworld premiere, the upcoming TV series has gotten plenty of buzz.

Of course, it really does help that some of the best names in the industry are behind this project by HBO. It is written by Jonathan Nolan (Interstellar writer and brother to director Christopher Nolan), and it is based on a Michael Crichton (Jurassic Park writer) film that was released back in 1973. The company of J.J. Abrams (Mission Impossible, Star Wars 7),Bad Robot Productions is producing HBO's Westworld TV series.

Already such stellar names and we're not even talking about the cast members yet! First off, it stars Anthony Hopkins,

Set to star in this new HBO show is Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins, as Dr. Robert Ford, a creative director, chief programmer, and chairman of the board of Westworld, a futuristic, Western-themed amusement park. Dr. Ford is described as a genius leader, who will go to any lengths to make sure his vision for the park is made into reality. And when HBO's Westworld premieres, this will mark Anthony Hopkins' first regular role on TV.

James Marsden (X-Men), Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton (The Pursuit of Happyness), Ed Harris (The Truman Show), and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings) are all part of the cast that we could watch out for when HBO's Westworld premieres. Much of the allure of the series is that most of the characters are robots, which means that there is an endless possibility of playing around with personas for each of them. They could even be killed off, and then be re-cast as another robot.

"This is built as a series and in, terms of storytelling, I think the rules are definitely being broken," said Michael Lombardo, HBO's president for programming. "The promise of the show, in terms of where it's going, exciting to actors, and they want to be part of this."
