After Kim Woo Bin's success on the small screen, it was only natural that his career would lead him to films. Only a year after appearing in his first drama specials and in the drama "Vampire Idol," he landed his first film role. He has appeared in four films in the last two years, including a cameo in "Runway Cop," and roles in "Friend 2," "Twenty" and "Criminal Designer."

What made him choose the role in "Criminal Designer," which is set to premiere on December 24? Everything about it, he said at a recent press conference in Seoul.

"I loved the script and the other actors, such as Kim Young Chul and Ko Chang Suk," he said.

Kim Young Chul has appeared in dozens of dramas and films, winning almost as many awards. He was last seen in the dramas "The Full Sun" and "The Blade and the Petal."

Ko Chang Suk is also a veteran of films, dramas and stage productions. He was last seen in "The Night Watchman's Journal" and "Good Doctor." "Criminal Designer" is one of three films he appeared in this year.

Kim Woo Bin's fans might take exception to his other eason for being in the film.

"I thought it would be a good opportunity to learn acting," said the star of "The Heirs" and "School 2013."

The actor, who already has a strong fan base, wanted to learn more about acting from the film's director Kim Hong Sun, who recently earned praise for his debut film "The Traffickers.

"I have also been a big fan of filmmaker Kim Hong Sun since he was an assistant director on "Rough Cut," said Kim.

According to Kim Hong Sun, there is plenty of chemistry between the characters.

"The characters are well matched," he said.

In the heist film, Kim Woo Bin plays Ji Hyuk, a safe cracker with a fondness for antiques and jewelry. He meets genius hacker Jong Bae, played by Lee Hyun Woo and they team up to steal $10 million that is hidden in the Incheon Customs. They must steal it in 40 minutes or less.

Lee Hyun Woo said that his character is a departure from his previous role in the film "Secretly Greatly."

"Jong Bae is very tough and I tried so hard to change my image. I had to curse and spit in the street. I even had to smoke," said Lee Hyun Woo.

Due to the popularity of the stars, the film was presold in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and the Philippines.
