Alicia Keys news reported that the pregnant "Girl On Fire" singer posted a simple but powerful Instagram message following the Ferguson Grand Jury.

According to a report from The Guardian, the Grammy winner stood out among all the supporters of Michael Brown, who were ranting about the Ferguson Grand Jury.

Amid rants and defensive explanations about the riot that ensued after the verdict, the R&B star's post stood out. Alicia Keys uploaded on Instagram a simple image that read "MIKE BROWN" in big, bold, white letters against a plain black background.

Aside from the said Alicia Keys news, other musicians who took to social media to express their dismay over the verdict were Beyonce, her sister Solange Knowles, and rappers Killer Mike, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip, and Macklemore.

Aside from being vocal about the case of Mike Brown, Alicia Keys was pregnant when she staged a recent protest rally in New York. According to an earlier report from Daily Mail, the 33-year-old singer's rally was to remind the public of the 219 Nigerian schoolgirls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram militants.

Alicia Keys is pregnant with her second child with Swizz Beatz, and they are expecting the baby this Holiday season. Nonetheless, the heavily pregnant singer rallied with 30 women to raise awareness in the middle of New York's busy lunch hour.

The R&B star and her supporters held signs that read: "We Are Here To Bring Back Our Girls Now" and chanted "When do we want them? Now! Now! Alive!"

She explained, reported by Daily Mail: "It is just outrageous that that's going on. Some people have even told me they've heard things about 'there's been progress,' but there hasn't been progress because the girls aren't back."

"So I think that we get mixed information. We don't know, so we just have to keep being made aware of what's happening," Alicia Keys pointed out.
