Michael Schumacher update reveals that "Schumi's" condition is not that well, as he is reported to be wheelchair-bound and unable to speak. His primary means of communication limited to merely blinking his eyes.

The 45-year old Schumacher hit his head on a boulder in December of last year, while skiing with his son at the French Alps. The severity of the accident rendered him to be placed in a six-month medically induced coma, and confined at the Grenoble Hospital in France.

Upon waking up in June, medical experts deemed him ready to resume rehabilitation at a clinic near his home in Lausanne. But just a few months ago, he was cleared to be sent home under the care of doctors and his family.

In a report by Mirror.co.uk, Schumacher's condition is not doing well thus far, as he is reported to be wheelchair-bound and unable to speak as he receives round the clock care from doctors and his immediate family.

Like in usual reports, Schumacher's manager Sabrine Kehm once again said that it will take a long while before the Formula One legend can fully recover.

"Michael is making progress appropriate to the severity of his situation, but it will be a difficult and long process."

In a separate report, former racer Philippe Streiff, who is wheelchair-bound as well, stated that Schumacher can only communicate with his wife Corinna through blinking.

"With his wife Corinna, he communicates with his eyes," Streiff said. "This is of course not the same disease as locked-in syndrome but the result is the same: You can not move, can not talk, you can not do anything, he is enclosed in his body, but communicates by blinking his eyes."

Meanwhile, wife Corinna remains grateful to her husband's supporters who have remained faithful followers in this ordeal he is facing.

"I can only say again that the family is very happy and touched by the sympathetic messages," she said about Michael Schumacher update.
