‘The Great Seer’ Ji Jin Hee Satisfied With Image Change, “I Feel Pleasure At The Viewer’s Reaction”

Actor Ji Jin Hee, as the main character, appeared on SBS's 'The Great Seer' with the most shocking appearance in all of the historical dramas. Ji Jin Hee plays Lee Sung Kye, the founder of Joseon.

On the 10th, Ji Jin Hee appeared at the end of episode 1 of 'The Great Seer'. He wore a headdress made of animal bones and leather with several colors of facial paint. His different appearance gathered a lot of attention.

More than anything, Ji Jin Hee's appearance caused a huge sensation. After the episode aired, the viewers responded, "I had to look up who was playing that character before realizing it was him", "Ji Jin Hee's transformation is amazing", "I didn't know he had that side to him", and "It was shocking, but [his appearance] created anticipation".

At the reaction of the viewers, Ji Jin Hee said, "I was also half-worried and excited for this part. However, I'm relieved that most people thought that it was fresh and different. I especially took pleasure at the fact that people could not recognize me. I worried because I thought the viewers would watch with prejudice because of my existing image, but since they weren't even able to recognize me, I am glad." Ji Jin Hee was satisfied with his transformation.

Also, Ji Jin Hee's action scene in episode 2 of 'The Great Seer' was a hot topic. Ji Jin Hee successfully completed the high-flying action scenes without a stunt double. He worked hard to appear as the courageous general.

More than anything, people were in awe over his godlike archery skills as he accurately hit the enemy general while in the air. Ji Jin Hee also focused hard on archery. Ji Jin Hee trained for many months to do all the stunts himself.

The stunt director for 'The Great Seer' complimented him and said, "Ji Jin Hee practiced hardcore so his archery skills are respectable. His bow shooting form is excellent."

36-episode drama 'The Great Seer' is about the decline of the Goreyo era and the start of the Joseon era as the powerful gurus put the hero of the turbulent time, Lee Sung Kye, up as the founder of Joseon. Besides Ji Jin Hee, Ji Sung, Song Chang Eui, Lee Yoon Ji, Oh Hyun Kyung, Lee Seung Yeon, Lee Young Beom, Son Byung Ho, Ahn Kil Gang, Ryu Tae Joon, and etc. are also cast members of the drama 'The Great Seer'.
