Incomplete Life

tvN Friday/Saturday "Incomplete Life" is a story about ordinary people who go to work.  On the 18th episode, there was an average of 8% (according to Neilsen) and the ratings are soaring. The analysis is that the drama brings a sense of comfort, empathy and attachment to viewers.

"Incomplete Life" is not necessarily a happy-go-lucky drama.  The original writer took out the parts that are a bit more philosophical and self-reflective and added a sense of comedy, as it was a cry and smile sort of drama.  This is what the director had also agreed with.

Unlike prior dramas in which there was an alpha and beta where the alphas would win, this brings out the story of the betas in the world as their stories are explored on screen.

The characters in the drama are not necessarily optimistic either.  Even with the promotion of Director Oh Sang Shik (played by Lee Sang Shik), he feels uncomfortable with Chair Choi (played by Lee Kyung Young) looking at him.  Jang Geu Rae (played by Lim Shi Wan) is polite and trying to do his best in a limited space and takes care of stereotypes but his status as a contract worker acts as a limiting factor for him.
