'Scandal' Season 4 Spoilers: Fitz Will Leave Mellie To Be With Olivia For Good? More Of Jake And Olivia This Season As It Returns On Janaury 29

"Scandal" season 4 returns with new episodes on January, and spoilers are hinting an explosive ending to this riveting season.

As fans can remember, Olivia was kidnapped in the season finale.  Previous reports have claimed that US Vice President Andrew Nichols is behind the dirty deed to force Fitz to declare war against West Angola.  Several speculations have also dragged Olivia's flame Jake into the kidnapping, citing him as a suspect as well.

With the love of his life gone, all eyes are on Fitz. Will he choose Olivia or his country? And more importantly, will he leave his wife to be with Olivia?

In an interview with TVGuide, Tony Goldwyn who plays Fitz shared, "It will potentially destroy Fitz again. How much more can a man take? This will really test him. The stakes are unbelievably high and I can say that it will be scary."

"My guess is that Fitz will really team up with Jake to save Olivia," Goldwyn said. "I think he and Jake would really enlist each other's help. As much as he's got his issues with Jake, Jake's his best ally in doing that."

Speaking of Jake, "Scandal" season 4 spoilers also hint that there are still a lot to be explored between Jake and Olivia's character.  As Scott Foley (actor who plays Jake) shared on Reddit, "I think there is still more to be explored in regards to Jake & Liv. But I'm open to whatever they'd like."

Fans should just sit back and see what will happen next.

Meanwhile, Kerry Washington added fueled fans' excitement more when she tweeted a very interesting development this season.

"Today while playing Olivia Pope I did something that I've never done before and something else that I haven't done in a LOOOONG time," she said on her Twitter account.

It could be anything from doing major stunts, to sporting prosthetics.  Fans just have to watch "Scandal" season 4 when it returns on air January 29.
