In terms of design and display, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has a5.1inches screen that can offer a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels at 432ppi, competing with other flagships in terms of screen quality. Its Super AMOLED technology is famous for delivering vibrant, bright screens, with an excellent contrast and viewing angles. It has the fingerprint sensor, a feature that lets users lock and unlock your device without entering the four digit pass code. Instead, putting their fingerprint on top of the scanner and their homescreen will be unlocked immediately. Its water and dust resistant, its dimensions are 142×72.5×8.1 mm, and weighs 145 grams.

The Motorola Droid Turbo has a futuristic design as it usese materials such as ballistic nylon and metalized glass fiber to make its back, and there are four variants of shades for this device: Blue, Metallic Red, Metallic Black and Black Ballistic Nylon. Its slimmer at 8.3 mm and its thicker at 11.2 mm. It’s 143.5 mm tall, 73.3 mm wide, and weighs 169 grams. The screen is also Super AMOLED, measuring 5.2 inches and comes with a much higher resolution of 1440×2560 pixels at an incredible pixel density of 565ppi.

For the hardware and OS, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has a Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 Krait 400 processor with four cores, clocked at 2.5GHz, so it should be running softly and without lags. Its partnered with a Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM, and the internal storage comes in two options: 16 and 32GB, expandable up to 128GB. It runs on the Android v4.4.2 (KitKat), but now it runs on v5.0 (Lollipop).

The Motorola Droid Turbo will get v5.0 (Lollipop) in the near future, but for now it runs on v4.4.4 (KitKat). Its internal specs are superior, and is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7GHz Krait 450 processor combined with 3GB of RAM.It has no microSD card slot, and its limited to 32 or 64GB of internal storage.

For the battery and camera, the Samsung Galaxy S5 last 21 hours of talktime with its 2800 mAh removable battery. The Motorola Droid Turbo can extend its battery life up to 2 hours, because of its bigger capacity of 3900 mAh, and comes with a turbo charger which keeps the battery alive up to 8 hours if users charge it within 15 minutes.

The Motorola Droid Turbo’s back camera has a resolution of 21MP with features such as dual-LED flash, HDR, touch focus etc., and it’s capable of shooting videos at 2160p@24fps.The Samsung device provides a 16MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus, dual shot, 1/2.6” sensor size, 1.12 µm pixel size, Simultaneous HD video and image recording and video recording at 2160p@30fps.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is worth $528, while the Motorola Droid Turbo 64GB is around $1000.
