Samsung Note 2 Variant 4G Update A Lollipop? No, New Note Will Have Android 4.4.2 Just Like Its 'Sibling-Model'

Samsung Note 2 users are holding out for an Android 5 update. Will they get it? Highly unlikely say tech reports. Usually Samsung updates its OS every couple of years and that timeframe has come and gone for Samsung Note 2. So is Samsung going to scrap the Note 2 which is a perfectly smooth running smartphone? And will the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as the new flagship phone in the Note series, which comes with Android 5/L pre-installed be a 'signal of death' for the Note 2?

There's no report that says that the Samsung Note 2 will taken out of Samsung's roster of well-built smartphones. On the other hand, the imminent Lollipop updates announced for newer Samsung models might simply mean Note 2 users will have to put up with their original KitKat 4.4.2 OS software. That might be a tough call for someone, particularly for Samsung fans who want the latest software on their phones. However, others might see the opportunity as being content with the Samsung Note 2 as is. Analysts say that the KitKat OS runs well on the Note 2 in comparison with other models that have virtually made it impossible to use the Android 4.4.2 on a Samsung smartphone.

So, there's nothing new Lollilop for Samsung Note 2, but Samsung is about to release a newer model of this phone, the Samsung Note 2  variant 4G. Though there's no sign of it coming pre-installed with a Lollipop, the 4G is going to have some extras that Note 2 users can switch to. Without a doubt, the speed will obviously be faster for browsing, and other Internet-based activities. Samsung will want its fan base to buy the New Note 4, so it might take some time before the enhancements for the Note 2 variant 4G catches on.

The latest reports say that the Samsung Note 2 variant 4G will be released with Android 4.4.2 KitKat sofware. Any way you slice it, it looks like the doom of the Samsung Note 2 software update.
