Rumors about Nina Dobrev dating Chris Wood has emerged prompting speculations that "The Vampire Dairies" actress has indeed moved on from her ex boyfriend Ian Somerhalder. But new reports claim that the issue is only a mechanism of the "Perks of Being a Wallflower" actress to deviate the attention from her recent break-up with "The Anomaly" actor.

Last December, Nina Dobrev started posting on her Instagram account pictures of her and new "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Chris Wood.

Breathecast.com even said in a report that the two were spotted kissing at the set.

But before Nina Dobrev dating Chris Wood made it to the news, she was rumored to be seeing Mark Foster of the Foster the People band. However, it was alleged that "The Vampire Diaries" actress was not yet ready to go public about her new relationship with the musician and that she chose to keep silent regarding her new beau.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry, meanwhile, claimed that Nina Dobrev is actually dating Mark Foster and rumors linking her to new co-star Chris Wood is just a deviation.

"Now, she's been using Chris Wood as legitimate PR to distract from the Mark Foster relationship - i.e. those cutesy Instagram photos. But that being said, we're also hearing that Nina's relationship with Mark isn't necessarily a valid one, but one constructed for PR reasons," the report explained.

The report suggested that Nina Dobrev might still be stuck with her split from ex boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, who is now happy with new "love" Nikki Reed.

Previous news stated that Nina Dobrev was allegedly irked when the "Twilight" star visited the set of "The Vampire Diaries" and went on to display lot of PDA with Ian Somerhalder.

Before rumors about Nina Dobrev dating Chris Wood and Mark Foster, she was also linked to "Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth, Miranda Kerr's ex-husband Orlando Bloom and Dominic Howard of Muse band.
